Job description
Our client is a successful expanding FTSE property company who have assets throughout Western Europe. As they continue to acquire opportunistically it is well positioned to expand further. The role: is for a qualified Accountant with fluent (mother tongue) German language skills to take responsibility for the accounts preparation for a number of German subsidiaries. The role: to review, analyse and correct local managing agents’ management reports; to prepare quarterly management accounts and gross profit schedules with Asset Managers; to assist in the preparation of gross profit budget and variance analysis at property level and to gain an understanding of the differences in local GAAP and IFRS accounting requirements; preparation of schedules for the calculation of German VAT recovery rates. The person: to apply you will be qualified or hold a German accounting qualification and possess fluency in German (and English) and have previous experience in the real estate sector; you will be a good communicator with strong Excel skills and will be flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work on their own initiative.
