Job description

Travelex is the leading global provider of foreign exchange services. The Currency Services division encompasses Retail and Wholesale FX services in more than 25 countries through a network of almost 900 shops and over 400 ATMs. The division employs 3,500 people globally and completes over 19m transactions per year generating more than £3bn of turnover.

They are recruiting a first class finance professional to work within the Divisional Finance team. The Global Finance Manager will play a central role in financial planning, analysis, reporting and control for the Division. This is high profile role with daily contact with senior management including the Managing Director and FD as well as the Group CFO and Group FC.

The Role

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Undertake the interpretation of trends and monitoring of financial performance.
  • Lead the divisional planning processes including production of annual budget and quarterly forecasts for the global business.
  • Produce regular MI to monitor and interpret financial performance through variance analysis and comparison of actual to budget.
  • Be involved in cash management and optimism of cash flow.
  • Cash flow forecasting.
  • Bring a commercial review and challenge outlook to currency services.
Management Reporting
  • Manage the month end divisional reporting process for the global business and drive improvements and efficiencies in reporting.
  • Prepare the monthly consolidated financial packs in set format to deadline.
  • Ensure group financial reporting deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting is maintained across currency services.
  • Provide financial and management information to stakeholders.
  • Work with the business to continue development of financial systems across currency services.
Financial Management and Control
  • Help drive financial policies, systems and procedures and internal control.
  • Ensure central understanding of the divisional balance sheet through regular reviews with the Regional Finance teams.
  • Monitor compliance with currency services controllership plan.
  • Ensure timely production of year end statutory accounts together with reporting on the relevant year end disclosures.
  • Follow up and clear external and internal audit points in a timely manner.
