Job description
A FTSE listed Group, my client, a leading Leisure and Retail business is currently seeking to recruit a Group Accountant. The role has come about due to the expansion of Group responsibilities and is an excellent opportunity to be involved in a huge variety of project and analytical work rather than pure reporting that accounts for probably on 4 days a week. The role covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities including: group Reporting for Board, Shareholders and Banks; preparation of Accounts, Budgets and Forecasts for various Group companies; an element for Group Consolidation; assisting with Treasury and Cashflow packs; producing various Analysis of operational performance metrics; working on major Group Projects; producing presentations for various stakeholders internally and externally; assisting the Group FD and FC in driving Group wide initiatives. Applicants must be University educated and be Qualified or Newly Qualified ACA or ACCA ideally from a top Accounting Firm. Experience of preparing accounts under IFRS / UK GAAP is required.
