Job description

Our client, a well respected FTSE listed Retailer is looking for a Group Financial Analyst to join its head office team. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to develop a long-term career within a company that prides itself on the development of its existing talent. You will be offered wide exposure to the whole business, working on the group's financial accounts. This is a real opportunity to gain a full overview of the business and excellent exposure to a number of business units and stakeholders. Some key responsibilities include: managing the preparation of the group's subsidiary statutory accounts; ownership and reconciliation of allocated balance sheet accounts; production and management of the holding company accounts process in line with IFRS or UK GAAP; budgeting & forecasting for the holding companies, in conjunction with relevant divisions and providing analysis and commentary on any large variances. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant from an audit background with strong IFRS and consolidations experience. You will be an excellent communicator, as this role requires considerable stakeholder interaction as well as various ad hoc projects for senior management from time to time. This is an ideal role for those hoping to pursue the route of Finance Director in the long-term.
