Job description
We are looking to support our client with a key appointment for its group head office in North Yorkshire. The business is an established, leading PLC and a household name within the local area. They wish to appoint a qualified Chartered Accountant to work in a Group Accountant capacity. You will take responsibility for the consolidation of group accounts, KPIs and flash results and assist with the overall compilation of the group's half year and annual reporting. Additionally, you will prepare the financial statements for a group of subsidiary companies, whilst ensuring the intercompany balances are correctly reconciled and the accurate conversion of foreign transactions. Key will be your extensive knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS, consolidations experience and first rate numerical and communication skills. You will be a qualified Accountant, most likely from within a Top 10/Big 4 firm and possess PQE. The role is seen as a springboard to Senior Managerial roles within the business, so you will also demonstrate a strong desire for both personal and career development opportunities.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
