Job description

My client is a global organisation, which is continually growing and enhancing its position both within its existing markets and across new emerging markets. Due to a restructure within the Finance department there is an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic business as a Group Accounting Manager. This role would allow the successful applicant to move internally both within the UK and possible globally in the future. The primary responsibility of this role is for the production of the group consolidation, together with the maintenance of the key control processes, which underpin its accuracy. In addition to the above, this role will ensure the maintenance of accurate accounting records for the Group’s principal treasury company. Finally, a key requirement will be to work closely and effectively with both the Local and Group Finance teams. The successful applicant will be an ambitious, qualified Accountant with a strong track record of academic achievement but with a ‘hands-on’, proactive approach to finding solutions to problems as they arise, and with the confidence and desire to seek further improvements in the group finance systems and controls over time. You will be an experienced qualified Accountant, preferably ACA or ACCA. You will be a highly motivated individual with ambitions to progress within the business. You will have a strong record of academic achievement and knowledge of UK accounting standards.
