Job description
Our client an FTSE 100 business specialising in Telecommunications Retail sector is currently recruiting for a group Commercial Finance Manager for its Purchasing division. Working with the Group Purchasing team, specifically focusing on improving and supporting the financial benefits available from purchasing stock on a group basis. Key responsibilities: identifying opportunities abroad for more economic sourcing using market data; ensuring that all divisional rebates are tracked, booked and collected with support of Central Shared Services team; provide analysis to support divisional negotiations; key finance contact for all strategic sourcing projects; providing any other finance support to the group purchasing team on an ad hoc basis; dealing in an area with approximately £1bn of spend, the ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA) and come from a telecommunication background, this could be from a retail or even networking background. The candidate will be strategically supporting the GFR purchasing teams, looking at the market and try to understand how the business is able to obtain better prices from suppliers whether domestic or abroad.
