Job description
A leading City based FTSE listed Insurer and Asset Manager is looking to hire a self-motivated and personable qualified Accountant to join its Group Capital function. This individual will be responsible for liaising with the senior stakeholders within the business units (BUs) on a daily basis in order to act as a Business Partner, linking the BUs to Group in terms of Capital requirements. As a result of this perspective the role is highly commercial and enables the incumbent to be visible at both BU and Group level. It is crucial that this individual is highly credible in person and capable of both supporting and challenging senior management as required. This is a new role and the successful candidate will have the ability to make their own mark on the position and drive their progression within the Group function. This individual will benefit from an unusually open and interactive structure, with daily contact with the Group FC and CFO, as well as further group teams including investor relations, strategy, risk etc. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (ACA/CPA/CA/ACCA) with previous financial reporting (IFRS/UK GAAP/US GAAP) experience gained within insurance.
