Job description
Having experienced significant growth over the last few years, this is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive organisation with strong leadership and clear goals for the future. Working primarily with the Senior Group Financial Accountant, responsibilities include: preparing year end group and subsidiary statutory accounts; assisting the Group Tax Manager in preparing analysis for the tax computations; assisting the Senior Group Financial Accountant in project work, particularly in the area of acquisitions. This may be include: the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations; preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations; liaison with the External Auditors; preparation of detailed audit file for the Auditors, involving liaison with all internal departments; liaising with the Senior Finance Manager to resolve any queries arising and ensure that the group reporting deadlines agreed with the Auditors are achieved; dealing with IFRS and UK GAAP accounting technical issues and presenting an initial conclusion to the Senior Group Financial Accountant. Requirements: qualified (ACA, ACCA or ACMA) and experience in IFRS reporting is essential; experience of UK GAAP to IFRS transition projects would be a significant advantage. You will be a confident communicator who is able to work in a professional but friendly working environment. The ability to work as part of a team to deliver statutory accounts to strict deadlines are key for this role.
