Job description
A leading global Investment Manager and market maker is seeking a Group Financial Controller to take full responsibility for all financial matters within the international group and its various subsidiaries. Working closely with the CFO, this is a highly commercial position that will see you adding value to and developing the business as a whole. The remit here is not only to control and develop the activities of the Finance function but also have direct day-to-day involvement with corporate transactional activities (including investment appraisal, M&A and corporate analysis). You will be expected to design and implement financial and budgeting/forecasting processes & controls to ensure an efficient reporting structure is in place whilst maintaining a coherent financial position globally. As you will be working closely with senior management and the Executive committee it is important here that you have a background strongly rooted within the Financial Services arena, note that exposure to derivatives products would be an advantage in your application. We are looking for a post-graduate qualified Accountant, or equivalent, with experience in building/leading a Finance team and working closely with very senior individuals within a high volume, product focused environment.
