Job description

A Group Financial Controller is required for a rapidly growing Services organisation that is a world leader in its designated field. As part of the expansion plan the CFO is keen to recruit a Group Financial Controller to join its Management team and play a pivotal role in the growth of the business. Key responsibilities include: lead the preparation of the monthly Board reporting pack, including consolidated profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flow and notes; lead the preparation of the Group’s statutory reporting (UK and US GAAP, with a move to full IFRS in the near term); provide technical accounting support for M&A activity and new business initiatives; act as a consultant of technical excellence in UK/US GAAP and IFRS to the global Finance function; manage and develop a team of four qualified Accountants. Candidates will need to have strong PLC and group reporting experience and have trained with a big four firm. The role may also be of interest as a move out of the profession for senior candidates with PLC exposure. This is an excellent opportunity to work as a highly visible member of the Finance team helping to shape the operations of the Global Finance function.
