Job description
Our client a listed Support Services company due to expansion and recent success has an excellent opportunity for a strong technically minded Accountant to join their successful team in Central London. The successful candidate will be the leader of the Group Finance team, directly supporting the Group FD. They will have responsibility for the preparation of key management reports to a high standard in line with tight reporting deadlines. The Group Finance team will manage the group consolidation process which will require close liaising with the Finance teams in groups' three subsidiary entities. Key to success in this role is the ability to work with the businesses and influence across the group to drive improvements in both reporting and results. Specific responsibilities: year end/interim reporting; producer of the group consolidation under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); primary audit point of contact and responsible for liaising with the subsidiary entities Finance departments; preparation of the PLC year end and interim accounts for publication; budgets and forecasts; preparation of the consolidated group budget pack and associated analysis; production of the monthly consolidated group rolling forecast and associated analysis; monthly reporting; preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts (including narrative) and review of board reports internal control; drive improvements to internal control culture and help maintain compliance with company policies and procedures; undertake internal control visits as part of rotational plan and produce report of findings for Audit committee. Who we’re looking for: qualified Accountant; experience of group consolidations; experience in preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP; experience of working in for at LSE listed entity; knowledge and experience of a computerised consolidation package.
