Job description
Working exclusively with Hewitson Walker, this successful Manufacturing Group has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, technically strong Group Financial Controller to steer the business through a period of development. Situated in Somerset within a short commute to the motorway network, this business has consolidated its already favourable position in a competitive market place, with plans to increase market share, profitability and turnover, both organically and via acquisition. Technically, the role covers a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities including: transactional accounting; management and financial reporting; treasury; VAT and more specifically statutory reporting under IFRS. The successful candidate will already have a proven track record of team management and mentoring, process re-engineering cash and working capital management and, most importantly strong experience in IRFS and technical reporting. You will be a qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), trained in the profession, with an impeccable technical background, experience and record of achievement. This will be consolidated by commercial post-qualified experience gained in a technical or group environment. The closing date for applications is Friday 26th March 2010.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
This position is being advertised by an employment business in the case of temporary positions and an employment agency in the case of permanent positions.
