Job description
A £multi billion Global Leading Insurance Group is looking for an ideally qualified chartered accountant with practical knowledge and experience in the Insurance sector, strong IFRS knowledge and strong analytical skills. Reporting directly to the Group Chief Accounting Officer and working alongside the Group CFO, responsibilities will include: performing detailed impact analyses of new standards and establishing implementation plans; play lead role in coordination of Group HYR and Year end report; review application of IFRS standards with divisional accountants & CFOs; key accounting projects (complex transactions, acquisitions, disposals, debt etc); preparing and reviewing key accounting memos at each close. The successful candidate must be an ideally qualified Accountant with a proactive approach, excellent presentation and organisational skills. A results driven, structured work style is essential coupled with the ability to work under pressure. Given the international and multicultural environment, excellent communication skills are an important pre-requisite. A second European language would be advantageous (ideally French or German).Excellent career opportunities are available in the UK and worldwide for the right candidate.
