Job description

Persimmon is now recruiting for a Group Risk and Finance Officer, based at their prestigious head office on the outskirts of York. Reporting to the Group Risk Manager, you will be responsible for the management of risk and support the business in their management of their operations. The Group Risk and Finance Officer’s core responsibilities will be to ensure that risks are identified through varied and multi projects undertaken by the group and you will recommend and implement solutions to any risk exposure. In addition, the post holder will carry out repeatable audit work, guaranteeing high standards of corporate governance are met across the group. The Group Risk and Finance Officer will also be required to undertake data interrogation reviews and assist with the management and delivery of the risk management strategy. The ideal Group Risk and Finance Officer preferably will have a university degree in business, however this is not essential and candidates from other backgrounds will be considered. You will be qualified in a recognised accounting or internal auditing qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/MIIA) and be looking for your next challenge. Ideally, you will have very strong Risk Analyst skills. You will be able to demonstrate a professional approach to the working environment and possess strong commercial awareness. You will also need high level interpersonal skills and be a strong communicator as you will regularly liaise with Senior Management and Directors.
