Job description
This FTSE 250 business is looking for a Group Financial & Tax Accountant based in the London City. Duties: involvement in top level matters for the group liaising directly with the Group FD & Group FC. Others: part of the Group Consolidation team to produce the consolidated monthly management accounts & the interim and year end accounts; production of UK corporation tax packs and group corporation and deferred tax analysis; completion of group quarterly corporation and deferred tax forecasts; preparation of the tax report for the Tax & Treasury committee; preparation of Directors profit shares & information required for the Remuneration Committee; ad hoc project work & analysis for the Group FD & Group FC; accounting for US head office companies; balance sheet control accounts including loans, intercompany accounts; production of UK subsidiary statutory accounts; assistance in managing trainee head office Accountants; help train & support global Finance team. You’ll be someone who is Big 4/Top 10 trained, who was trained in the Tax department & who is now looking to move into industry & wants to do more than just tax. Role is probably 60% tax, 40% other bits as per job spec. The amount of time spent on tax is quite large as there are some tax projects on the horizon. The Tax process needs someone who will sort out the existing inefficiencies & therefore less time will be spent on tax going forward. This role really suits someone who is intelligent, organised, proactive & has good attention to detail. You need to be confident as he/she will be dealing directly with the Board Directors.
