An opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Head of Accounting to join my Twickenham based, FMCG client.
As Head of Accounting, you will report directly to the UK FD also based in Twickenham and hold full responsibility for the management of the Finance subordinates as well as ensuring the accounting, financing and reporting is run effectively and efficiently. You would also be required to support other major business objectives.
Key responsibilities of this Head of Accounting role will include:
- Managing and implementing successful monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting lines, ensuring the statements are produced accurately and to dead lines.
- Preparing and finalising the statutory reports and intercompany posting.
- Ensuring cash is managed efficiently and effectively.
- Leading and supporting the Finance team ensuring the production of their work is timely and of the best standard.
- Supporting the business and Finance Director with any ad hoc projects or business requirements as necessary.
To be successful as Head of Accounting for my client you should:
- Be commercially astute.
- Have a proven track record of successfully leading teams and controlling processes.
- Have the ability to build strong professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or the equivalent.
- Be proficient in using SAP.
