Job description

Our client is an NHS specialist acute provider based in Central London and is looking for a Finance Consultant to provide senior level support to the contracting/commissioning function. Working closely with the commissioners, the Finance and Informatics teams and the clinical unit leads, you will provide support in the following areas: negotiate and manage all Service Level Agreements; maintain systems to ensure all billable activity has been accounted for and income recovery maximised; manage the relationships between clinical activity and the reporting of this activity to Trust managers and commissioners; develop and maintain information systems/processes that support invoicing and debt control for Service Level Agreements and all activity outside these agreements, ie High Cost Drugs, Clotting Products, TPN, Air Ambulance and cost per case activity; initiate and run projects relating to the SLA/income management process, as required. This assignment is likely to run for approximately 3 months, starting in early to mid November. Applicants should have significant experience of working in senior commissioning/contracting roles; experience of managing complex information systems have up to date knowledge of NHS regulations such as foundation trusts, payment by results (PbR) and cash management.
