Job description

An interim assignment for a 3 month period whilst the Trust recruits permanently. Main responsibilities: the post holder will interpret and apply financial and other aspects of legislation and NHS finance policies; the post will require effective communication and negotiation at a very senior level with Executives, colleagues, Managers and staff within the Trust, and externally with other organisations; the post holder will be responsible for the provision of financial advice, and the development and monitoring of the financial resources of the division incorporating new resources that become available on a recurrent and non-recurrent basis; you will lead all aspects of the financial work required for the Divisional team, and delegate as appropriate in liaison with the Senior Management Accountant to achieve this; the post holder will be based at the division’s host site, but will be expected to work flexibly across the Trust. An amount of time will be spent using a VDU and a high degree of numeracy is required. Previous NHS experience is essential, especially working at a senior level within a similar directorate.
