Our client is an international group with a multibillion-pound UK turnover.
As part of a major finance transformation programme they are expanding their finance shared services centre.
The role will involve developing and deploying the shared service offering across all the UK operations. The emphasis is on delivering outstanding accounting services to business units cost effectively and to generate a culture of continuous improvement.
You will run a team of approximately 30 staff in managing all accounting and reporting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and fixed asset accounting.
A qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is required with significant shared service experience. You should have excellent staff management and motivational skills and also the ability to work as part of a Senior Management team.
Good organisational skills, an attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem resolution are essential.
