Job description

Our client is a leading global business with operations in every continent. In order to equip the global finance community with the appropriate technical skills to enable them to conduct its work effectively, it requires a technically astute practice qualified senior interim Accountant to define and set up a group wide Finance Centre of Excellence. You will be required to set-up and develop the Group Finance Centre of Excellence to provide up-to-date training, development and provision of best practice techniques and processes across the global finance community. Duties: liaising with both, the Group, Country and Divisional Finance teams to ensure the centres services are relevant and addresses ever changing business needs; you will work closely with internal communications and HR to develop and roll out training programmes covering both technical skill-sets and leadership and development techniques; you will be a member of Group Finance Project team which is responsible for delivering technical accounting policy changes and global group compliance initiatives(Sarbanes-Oxley and COSO etc). You will be a seasoned finance interim, likely to be ACA qualified (Top 10 Practice) with experience of working in a complex international businesses. Good project management skills, a strong technical grounding and experience of running and setting up training will be essential.
