Job description

Timothy James Consulting are currently recruiting for a Housing Directorate Finance Manager on behalf of a local government organisation in the North West. This is an interim role for a period of 6 months, or until a permanent candidate is appointed. Working alongside the Director and Deputy Director of Finance, your responsibilities will include producing and managing the housing budget and ensuring that other grants and subsidies are completed.You will also be responsible for overseeing the projection of capital receipts and other rental income for General fund and Housing Revenue and managing the HRA and General Fund budgets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent people management skills as you will be required to manage a finance team of 5 and co-ordinate training for budget holders and Service managers on budget monitoring to enable them to monitor and manage their budget effectively.The successful candidate must have previous local authority financial management experience and should be CCAB qualified or equivalent.
