Job description
This role, based in London, has significant senior management exposure and will have an expansive and diverse range of responsibilities. The role will operate on the group level and will include proper treatment of high value or complex Group items such as acquisition accounting, impairments and reorganisations. The role has genuine scope for significant value ad responsibilities depending on the candidate and additionally has the potential for numerous ad hoc projects including treasury related or transactional projects. The successful candidate must be a graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree. He/she will be a Chartered Accountant from a Big 4 firm and will be experienced in technical and financial accounting issues, from within the mining or energy industries. It is necessary for the candidate to have previous large PLC experience and have a detailed understanding of complex commercial and accounting issued including IFRS and particularly IAS 39. This opportunity may suit an individual who works on Senior Manager level within practice and seeks a more commercial role within an international company. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and will display the gravitas and credibility necessary to operate successful. Our client is a leading FTSE business within the mining and natural resources sector, offering salary £75,000 to £85,000 plus excellent benefits and bonus.
