Job description
An excellent opportunity has arisen within this local market leader for an IT and Operational Auditor. Take responsibility for managing audits to support the management board in supervising the company, implementing strategies and strengthening adherence to their principles. Ensure that high standards of security and internal controls are maintained in critical risk areas for the company. Duties: the main responsibility of the role is to provide the senior management with independent, objective assurance on the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control environment; key elements of the function include risk assessments and control reviews but also consulting activities designed to add value and improve business processes and operations. The scope of corporate audit within the business is broad and involves topics such as the efficacy of operations, the reliability of financial reporting; take responsibility for planning and conducting scheduled and ad hoc IT audits, including communication of the results, under the supervision of a Lead Auditor. The role also includes operational audits without a specific IT scope; improve profitability of the analysed business processes and to support the management at all levels in controlling the business risks; develop findings and recommendations for improvements in business processes and controls; propose and agree the corrective required with management; provide consultancy and assurance to business area via the evaluation and review of IT projects; compile audit reports, for Board Member of the Group. This is an excellent career opportunity for a qualified Accountant or equivalent who has worked in a similar environment either in practice or industry. You will be required to travel about 30% UK and overseas travel. Interfacing at levels you will a strong communicator both in written and oral skills.
