Job description

The Insurance Financial Controller will be responsible for financial management of the Insurance Business Unit including delivery of: reporting, forecasting, decision support and financial control. The main challenge in the Insurance business is to develop marketing and pricing capabilities to grow the current portfolio while protecting the EBIT position. This requires a detailed understanding of the trade offs between the two. The complexity of the interaction of the various drivers of insurance profit (individual customer pricing vs conversion/retention etc) add to the challenges of this role. The candidate: the successful candidate will be able to drive and manage change effectively; able to influence key business decisions by demonstrating a good understanding of the business and strong communication skills; commercially minded; strong people management skills; accurate, thorough and reliable; manage conflicting demands; degree qualified plus ACA or ACCA qualified; post qualified experience and would possibly suit candidates move from practice. The company: our dynamic and well known Services client based in Hampshire requires an Insurance Financial Controller for their head office. Salary and benefits: up to £46,500 plus a £5,000 car allowance and benefits. Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
