Job description
Howarth Morris is currently recruiting for an Internal Audit Manager on behalf of a Top 10 firm of Accountants in Manchester. A challenging and rewarding role, the Internal Audit Manager will work with a broad range of clients including PLC's, OMB's, charities and public sector organisations. Working closely with Senior Management, duties will include: managing internal audit assignments from planning to review stage, including holding regular meetings with the clients; management of a team ensuring work is completed on time to a high standard; training and development of the team both in; house and on assignment; provision of regular appraisals and reviews. Assignments will include: risk management, internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley projects, and controls investigations; assisting with business development for the division, including supporting Senior Management at new tenders. The Internal Audit Manager will possess a relevant qualification (eg MIIA, ACA, ACCA) and will possess substantial Internal Audit/Risk Management experience gained within a Practice environment. They will possess outstanding client management skills and experience of training and developing staff - experience of business development within Practice would also be advantageous.
