Job description
An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our client, an international Finance organisation based in Wiltshire. Key responsibilities of the Internal Audit Manager job will include: support the Head of IA in reporting periodically to the Audit committee, the Internal Control and Risk committee, Finance function and senior management by reviewing the control of business processes through operational/financial/regulatory and compliance audits within subsidiaries within the UK; support the Head of IA with the audit process, including risk assessment and planning, scoping and reporting phases; develop recommendations to remedy identified control weaknesses and agree implementation schedules; follow-up on the timely implementation of agreed recommendations. The ideal Internal Audit Manager will possess the following attributes/skills: strong academic background, originally from a ‘Top 10’ audit background (Manager-level) with internal audit experience in Financial Services; ability to act objectively and with independence; broad understanding of and experience in business processes within a Financial Services environment; ability to identify and focus on issues of highest business risk throughout the group; knowledge and experience in corporate governance, risk management and internal control evaluation and testing.
