Job description
An Audit Senior is required for a leading firm of Accountants based in Manchester. The firm work with a specialist niche client base, with turnovers of up to £300 million and have an outstanding reputation for the quality of service they provide to their clients. Their team is encouraged to develop genuine Business Advisory skills and the Audit Senior will be given plenty of support and training to be able to develop and lead client relationships. The Audit Senior will take responsibility for: leading audit engagements for clients including Owner Managed Businesses and National/International Groups with turnovers up to £300 million; planning the audit engagement, highlighting areas of potential risk for focus; leading juniors in the field, providing feedback on their performance and development areas; completing the audit pack for Partner review; attending pre and post audit client meetings with Partners/Managers; preparing annual financial accounts. The Audit Senior must be ACA/ACCA qualified with experience of leading audit assignments for major businesses. They will be able to communicate effectively with clients and will have the commercial acumen to be able to develop towards an Advisory role within the future. The role will involve regular travel including overnight stays for up to 30% of the time, therefore flexibility if also important.
