Job description

An exciting opportunity reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the post-holder will manage and deliver specific audit assignments for the next 12 months. They will also contribute ideas and suggestions to aid the audit planning process. The post holder will not have line management responsibilities but may be required to work with resources from KPMG or seconded experts, as required. Highly desirable: holder of, or studying for, a relevant professional qualification (IIA or CCAB); have experience of managing the delivery of internal audit assignments; have the ability to analyse and interpret information; IT literate; ability to work to tight deadlines with high levels of drive and determination; excellent communication/ presentational skills; ability to produce concise well structured written work. Desirable: have experience of project and/ or IT Audit. Advantageous: experience of delivering internal audit in the Public Sector. The service delivers and manages internal audit assignments and provides assurance to the Accounting Officer of the framework of control and management of key risks, in accordance with the Government Internal Audit Standards.
