Job description
An Internal Auditor required to perform and lead operational & financial control reviews of business including ad hoc investigations, business appraisals and to report findings, conclusions and recommendations arising from those reviews to local and senior management. Responsibilities: the execution and leadership of operational and financial audits and reviews using the departments risk based audit methodology culminating in the production of formal and supporting working papers; to focus audit work on risk and to ensure that appropriate controls are in place and if not to include in recommendations; to monitor and provide advice on the implementation of new business processes; identify and evaluate areas for potential improvement in processes and controls while ensuring that all work adds value to the business. Skills/experience: flexibility, adaptability and an ability to engage and influence at a senior level; experience of conducting and leading operational/financial audits; a sound knowledge of the principles of governance and control; willingness to travel to other company offices in the UK and some occasional travel. Personal attributes: excellent verbal and written communication skills; time management and planning.
