Job description

A leading global Financial Services institution is looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to embark on a high profile Internal Control Manager role. Duties include: align with business unit and market controllership groups, particularly in the EMEA region, to assist in the reviews of documentation relating to IFRS and US GAAP accounting issues and contractual arrangements and propose an appropriate solution and provide thought leadership; review of local market IFRS filings to ensure integrity and compliance with reporting standards and consistent application of global IFRS policies & disclosures; assist in review of critical US GAAP/IFRS adjustments; support the roll-out of IFRS for the first time in international markets as required; track and monitor developments in IFRS guidance and work as part of the team that determines any potential impact to the company; support the subject matter experts with US GAAP and/or IFRS technical requests and ad hoc research projects as required; assist with the development of company policies related to IFRS; contribute in the development and delivery of training related to IFRS and US GAAP. Minimum requirements: must be ACA qualified from a Big 4 Practice.
