About the role
Exercising strategic leadership and sound judgment, an outstanding role has arisen for a Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance department of the International Secretariat (AIIS) and its associated entities, and to play a key role in the financial management of Amnesty International’s worldwide movement. You will ensure that the Finance function of the AIIS is appropriately resourced, structured and aligned to support the delivery of agreed organisational strategic goals whilst your effective management of the Finance department will ensure the department works in line with best management practices. You will be responsible for effective stewardship of your team as well as the financial resources and for the provision of appropriate financial management information to all relevant stakeholders.
About you
You will be a fully qualified Accountant with significant post qualified experience and a proven performer in a Senior Management role within an international organisation, where you will ideally have had experience of foreign exchange management and risk management. The role requires experience in change management as well as strong leadership and inspirational line management. You will have outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence and raise the performance and profile of the Finance department. Furthermore, you will have the advanced technical skills and analytical approach required to deliver in this high profile environment.
