Wavex has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Junior Accounts Assistant.

The role
Joining the Finance team as a Junior Accounts Assistant, this role will encompass all aspects of accounts administration. You will be responsible for maintaining the cashbook and bank reconciliations, the fixed assets register, updating the sales and purchase ledgers as well as some credit control duties.
You will have a proven track record within accounts administration and strong double entry bookkeeping skills. We will expect a high level of commitment to Wavex and the ability to show professionalism at all times when interacting with our clients, suppliers and staff.

Key responsibilities
- Purchase Ledger: invoice entry and supplier account reconciliation.
- Sales Ledger: raising invoices & credit notes, allocating payments and maintaining the ledger.
- Credit Control: chasing outstanding debt from clients via phone, email and letter, whilst maintaining good client relationships.
- Fixed Assets Register: full administration.
- Resolving queries from clients, suppliers and Wavex staff.
- You may also be required to carry out other sundry accounting duties.
Skills and experience required
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- A strong academic background, coupled with a desire to study for a recognised accountancy qualification.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office and Excel (knowledge of pivot tables, v-lookups and advanced formulae in Excel would be an advantage).
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to respond positively to the pressure of monthly deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, polite and professional telephone manner and the ability to converse confidently with all levels of staff and management.
- Organised, and with a strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SAP Business One would be advantageous.

The salary will be based upon your experience, skills and presentation at interview. A maximum salary of £22,000 plus benefits is available.
