Job description
A well known distribution company in the Chesterfield area is currently recruiting for a Lead Auditor on the back of a recent internal promotion. The purpose of this role is to conduct reviews that evaluate the effectiveness of financial and non-financial controls and business and operational processes and identify and recommend practical solutions for improvements. You will assist Senior Managers in developing and agreeing a programme of reviews within the business, prepare written reports of audit findings, make recommendations to improve controls and business processes and lead close-out meetings with the business and present audit findings to management. This will require you to build strong relationships with business management, and actively influence at all stages of the audit/risk process. There will also be numerous opportunities to perform ad hoc reviews/projects as required in response to confidential or sensitive business issues. Candidates will be expected to hold a recognised professional qualification with internal or external audit experience, ideally gained in a large professional services firm or enter from a similar role in a large organisation. Excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, planning and technical skills are also a must combined with strong leadership and team working skills.
