Job description
An unusual ‘foot in the door’ interim role with chance of permanence has been created at a growing distribution company in the local area. This is the perfect time to be joining the company with new projects and expansion happening and is ideal for a commercially savvy Accountant with experience of helping a business control its costs. The Management Accountant/Cost Accountants will be responsible for: providing daily/weekly/monthly spend reports and analysis to budget holders; challenging and approving all operational cost spends; forecasting monthly cost spends for rolling budget purposes; managing a cost savings budget to drive costs down in the business. Essential Requirements are: must have experience of the above duties in a similar role; must have worked in a busy finance department but with significant exposure to operational teams; able to work under own initiative; some form of accounting qualification (degree level and above).
