Job description
One of our public sector client based in Doncaster is working with Badenoch & Clark exclusively and is looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant. Here are the main duties: work as part of the Directorate team advising on Directorate and Corporate financial issues; provision of accurate and clear financial reports, monthly narrative reports that reflect the overall financial performance of the Directorate, preparation of monthly financial projections, provision of supplementary information to focus attention upon areas where stricter monitoring is required, with Directorate, develop action plans to control and correct unfavourable expenditure variances; work with Directorates to ensure the effective and efficient use of available resources, continually review the effectiveness of the existing use of resources and identify potential areas for cost improvement, analyse comparative information provided in benchmarking exercises in order to inform discussions on adopting best practices and the redirection of resources; costing, develop a detailed understanding of key cost drivers and cost behaviour; assist the Manager of Management Accounts in the business planning for your Directorate, play a key role on the directorates planning process, prepare financial assessments of business plans. This will include impacts on efficiency, capacity, asset utilisation and activity.
