Job description

Champneys, the leading health spa operator, immediately requires a Management Accountant within its busy Central Accounts team based in Henlow, Bedfordshire.

Reporting to the FC you will assist in the production of monthly management packs, variance analysis, preparation of budgets and forecasts as well as ad hoc reporting for both resort and retail operations of the group. You will take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and be involved in the collation of VAT returns and year end packs for external audit.

You must have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel data manipulation skills and excellent communication skills. Ideally you will have worked with the Coda/Dream accounting system or similar and have experience in the report writing and data management aspects of such systems. You are likely to be CIMA or ACCA part-qualified or QBE with a commercial outlook, possessing the enthusiasm and drive to contribute directly to the bottom line and influence business profitability.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with a well-respected company and gain exposure to all facets of the accounting operation. Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered. Experience within the Hotel or Retail sectors would be advantageous.
