Job description
Reed Finance is currently sourcing candidates to join a growing team in the position of Management Accountant. This newly created position forms a dynamic part of the Finance team offering the candidate exposure to both an established UK organisation that is part of an International Group. Specific tasks and accountabilities: production of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and other analysis as required; responsibility for the preparation and control of month end reconciliations and supporting evidence; support the delivery of the Financial Plan and subsequent forecasts including the monthly review of performance compared to plan and/or forecast; support the delivery of cash management and communication to Directors of company cash flow; support and assistance in the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts, audit information and detailed analysis required for tax consultants; support preparation, reconciliation and submission of quarterly VAT returns including partial exemption calculation; payment and reconciliation of PAYE and NIC liabilities, and pension contributions; ensuring adherence to finance policies and procedures and identifying where controls could be improved; deputising for Corporate Accountant and supporting other teams members in delivery of workflow and Finance training; making recommendations to the Corporate Accountant as appropriate in relation to changes to UK GAAP and tax rules/guidance. This position would ideally suit a fully qualified Accountant with PQE. My client is particularly interested in seeing candidates making their move from practice to industry though this is not a prerequisite for the role.
