Job description

A Management Accountant is required for an international Distribution business to take control over its stock and inventory management. Your will be qualified or actively working towards your CIMA qualification and you must have a proven track record working within either manufacturing or distribution. You must be a strong communicator as you will be responsible for liaising with the warehouse and Operations teams and experience of working with ERP systems is advantageous. Reporting to the Management Accounts Manager you will be responsible for: perform the monthly closing process of the Inventory subledger; reconciliation and evaluation of inventory balances to the general ledger; inventory accrual account reconciliation and calculation of goods in transit, reconciled to the intercompany balance accounts; reporting of inventory related information as required to internal, European or Corporate HQ Managers; establishment of cross-functional relationships with other departments including warehouse & logistics, product strategy, sales and marketing, purchasing and QA; form a Business Partner approach to all stakeholders for inventory matters to assist the business to make informed and timely management decisions; Sarbanes-Oxley compliance when inventory becomes fully in scope.
