Job description
Our client is currently looking to recruit for the position of Management Accountant. This is a large FTSE 100 business in which has recently undergone a huge amount of change and is therefore looking for competent and capable individuals to enter the business and add value. The role of Management Accountant will sit within the global cost division, which is a large area of the business and have exposure to accounting on not only a UK basis but also a global basis. In this position there is a focus on corporate accounting having to understand not only the commercial but also the technical side of finance. Your main responsibilities will include: monthly management P&L reporting; production of key supporting schedules; balance sheet controllership; provide full commentary; variance analysis; ad hoc support to senior management. The successful applicant will be bright, proactive and personable. Although an FTSE business they are not aggressive by nature and really look to support their employees. You will need to be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and educated to degree standard. You will have good knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP). You will have a working knowledge of SAP, experience of audit and end to end accounting processes. You must have a strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines.
