Job description

In this role you will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts for Corporate Partnerships and all support areas of the Charity. You will liaise and communicate in a clear and positive manner with senior budget holders providing financial advice; ensuring information is easily understood for Stakeholders and relevant to their needs; working closely with the Manager of Management Accounts you will also assist in the production of the consolidated monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasting; the role also has part responsibility for the day-to-day accounting for the trading subsidiary of the organisation, this will allow the post holder to demonstrate and develop all-round accounting knowledge and add value to this function. As a CCAB (or equivalent) part-qualified Accountant or qualified by experience, this role will allow you to develop you’re proven management and financial accounting skills. It will enable you to take responsibility for your own work and demonstrate your professionalism. Due to the nature of the role it is essential for applicants to have experience of the Sun Accounts package and Vision reporting tools along with advanced Excel skills. An appreciation and understanding of charity finance issues such as a Gift Aid and VAT are highly desirable for this role along with empathy for charity’s values and vision.
