Job description
Due to internal secondment my client is looking to employ a Management Accountant for an ASAP start. The role is initially for a 6-month contract but there may be potential for longer term or permanent opportunities within the business. Responsibilities: sole preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for the business area; preparation and oversight of all month end journals, accruals, prepayments etc; detailed variance analysis; preparation and ownership of detailed budgets and regular detailed forecasting; P&L and balance sheet ownership, including full monthly reconciliations; quarterly customer contract reporting finance schedules; process and report improvements as required; ad hoc projects. Key attributes: the candidate should be a nearly or qualified Accountant, keen to develop their role within the Media industry. Team player, with an ability to prioritise their own work load, operate under their own initiative and always work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will need excellent communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, be confident, with a drive to take full ownership of the management accounts. You must be open to working in a challenging ever-changing environment where finance systems and processes are currently being improved and developed. Advanced stage in Excel and Word.
