Business Support functions within Northgate

The Central division within Northgate contains the support functions for the business; including, IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal & Commercial to name but a few.

Role Summary:

To provide financial support and timely reporting for the SAP SI and Pensions businesses. The role will include the management of the month end actuals, reporting and forecasting processes through the accounting systems and TM1 for the business areas. The successful candidate will need to gain an understanding of the key business issues and practices. Working in conjunction with colleagues across the Finance teams both in the UK and globally in a fast moving and time pressured environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Raise monthly invoices using the SAP system.
  • Perform monthly Accounting functions for the division, including revenue and cost analysis, WIP calculations, accruals, profitability analysis, intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting packs for the BU, and comment on variances.
  • Provide monthly P&L reports to Business Managers.
  • Assist with the forecasting process for the division to include costs, revenue and capital expenditure.
  • Establish and build working relationships across the division and organisation, to ensure that divisional and Company objectives are achieved.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Develop processes, systems and procedures in the business.
  • Ad hoc management accounting support as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate calibre.
  • Part-qualified CIMA (or equivalent ACA/ACCA).
  • Strong Excel skills.
