Job description
Due to a national operational restructure we are recruiting for a Management Accountant to support the local Operations Managers, ideally suited to a proven Management Accountant now looking to drive operational efficiency and provide commercial insight and analysis. The role: involvement in business development; costing new work (where bids are less than £1 million) with input from operational staff, in line with group standards; negotiating existing and new contracts (including input into credit control); ensure completion of financial audits of all services on as a minimum two-yearly basis; liaising with the OD and Compliance team to ensure that any high risk services are audited more frequently; attending & presenting at regional meetings; regional surgery/OD meeting/budget meetings; understanding changes within the services; ensuring regions follow company procedures; ensuring a realistic budget is set; maintaining invoice instructions; updating based on latest information received, ensuring clarity for the Central Finance team and ensuring relevant contract/other paperwork is in place; month end review; review invoice schedule; review costs in open accounts; producing a financial commentary; investigating queries; raised by the Central Finance teams re use of petty cash/bank cards; raised by operational staff; staff management; RFMs may be responsible for managing a Finance Auditor.
