Job description
Our client, a Local Government organisation is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to work within its Children and Young Persons Directorate. As the Management Accountant, you will report to the Finance Manager and apart from the usual Management Accountant duties, you will also be responsible for looking at efficiency savings throughout the directorate and making recommendations, as appropriate. The role will involve: monthly production of the Management Accounts; variance analysis; cash flow reporting monthly; preparing ad hoc reports for budget holders; support the management of financial information systems. The successful applicant will: be fully qualified in either CIMA, CIPFA, CCAB or equivalent; hold previous accounting experience within Local Government and ideally within CYPS or education directorates; possess relevant management accounting experience; possess strong interpersonal and communication skills; posses strong analytical skills.
