Job description

A Charity seeks a Management Accountant, reporting to the Chief Executive and external part-time FD. You will be responsible for managing one part-time Finance Assistant, providing support to Managers and budget holders in relation to financial management. Management Accountants key responsibilities will include: monthly management accounting (reporting and presenting); reviewing and improving operational and business plans; annual budgeting; cash flow forecasting; variance analysis. Management Accountant will ideally: be fully qualified (CCAB recognised); part-qualified Accountants will be considered; have extensive management accounting experience, including cash flow forecasting and budgeting; have a sound understanding of financial processes and controls gained whilst working within a charity, along with sound knowledge of statutory reporting requirements including SORP; be highly organised with the ability to meet demanding deadlines; be an excellent communicator, with a proactive, positive and persuasive approach, a strong Team Leader; an advanced Excel user.
