Job description
My client is a market leading niche player in the construction sector, and now seeks a Management Accountant to play a key role in a new acquisition. Based in Manchester, the Management Accountant will be a qualified Chartered Accountant, with ACA, ACCA or ACMA/CIMA Passed Finalist, and will be responsible for all monthly reporting for this new £30milll acquisition, including producing the monthly reporting packs to strict deadlines at month end. The Management Accountant will provide excellent support to the Operating Managers, and will ensure that all costs and revenues are closely mapped, liaising with Quantity Surveyors and establishing KPIs to ensure that all obligations are met and cash collected when due. The Management Accountant will need to establish excellent communications with the project management teams, and will be a determined and inquisitive self-starter with significant construction sector or contract accounting experience. In addition, the Management Accountant will have excellent spreadsheet skills, and experience of managing and preparing VAT returns for the business.
