Job description
Our client, an established organisation based in Nottingham is looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to join their team. It is important that you have worked in a similar position in the past. You must have the ability to carry out the majority of the duties listed along with the capability and hunger to grow into the remainder of the role, if you cannot fulfil them already. Key responsibilities: prepare agreed part of monthly management accounts and support information; attend budget monitoring and performance meetings as required; update and review forecasts on a monthly basis; provide financial and analytical support to staff and Heads of Support services and all users of finance software; support the production of the annual financial statements; liaise with Internal and External Auditors; prepare ad hoc costing analysis of capital projects and service areas for decision-making by Managers; to manage and maintain the reporting of costs and budgets and to ensure that variances are reviewed and forecasts are kept up-to-date; provide analysis for business planning and budgetary cycles in support areas in conjunction with the Head of Finance and Senior Management Accountant; work with Business Managers and/or other Project Leaders to ensure that all projects have approved budgets and are reported with management accounts; analyse and evaluate new projects and/or external grant funding for financial risk and return, and advise as appropriate. You will be given the opportunity to develop with the organisation and play a part in the development of the Finance office. There is the possibility of a managerial position in the future. It is vital that you are IT literate with good experience of accounting packages. It would be beneficial to your application if you have experience of symmetry software.
