Job description

The organisation is a growth company with masses of potential for progression. Due to internal promotion, a new and exciting opportunity presents itself: Key purpose of role: to prepare monthly management accounts for 2 Group Companies, including updated forecasts, detailed analyses and supporting commentaries; to oversee the day-to-day financial management and control, specifically budgetary and cost control, cash flow, stock control, instrument consignment and capital investment; to prepare business cases to support management proposals for the consignment of stock and instrumentation, capital investment and bonus schemes. Responsibilities of the role: supporting the FC to monitor and achieve departmental, corporate and group objectives; assisting in ensuring compliance with internal and external financial requirements eg business plans, covenant compliance and regulatory compliance; preparing the historic monthly management accounts and supporting schedules for each company, including KPIs and commentaries on the monthly figures; preparing annual operating business plans in liaison with the General Manager; monitoring daily cash flow and working capital management within the business; preparing business cases, as appropriate, to support management proposals and strategies including the consignment of stock and instrumentation, capital investment and bonus schemes; overseeing financial control within the business, identifying any weaknesses.
