Job description
Our highly successful client is now looking to recruit a Management Accountant. Working closely with the FD and Accounts team, you will provide financial support and commercial direction to the business. Duties: production of monthly management and financial accounts; producing financial and management reports; producing cash flows and budget; monitoring and reporting of commercial contracts to include profit and loss and work in progress; working closely with Project Managers and Directors in the provision of ongoing robust financial information; providing a support service by working with all departments and the Management team to help make financial decisions; ensuring spend is kept in line with the budget; assisting with key strategic decisions and formulating business strategies; providing advice on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions; analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts; assisting with the negotiation on major projects, loans and grants; providing financial advice to Managers; monitoring and evaluating financial information systems. Experience and qualifications required: ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified; experienced working in either construction or manufacturing; experienced in producing both management and financial accounts; capable of managing a small team; team player with an outgoing personality; excellent communication skills; good IT skills.
